Good review! This game is SUCH a huge upgrade from the original (and already very good) game. It was worth it for fans waiting a decade for it to come out. It looks like a Neo Geo game (i.e. Garou: Mark of the Wolves, King of Fighters '98, Waku Waku 7, etc.) on steroids! The character redesigns by Tyson Tan in particular are phenomenal and permanently eclipse the original designs in my mind, especially in regards to Lilac herself! Im so glad to own it for my Switch, where it plays like a dream! (Im not sure if my old laptop or Mac Mini could even run this game!) I hope this game gets way more attention--it came out to a MUCH more crowded indie game scene than the original game did!

I was a big gamer growing up, but had never touched a single Sega game until 2023 with this game when I was 19. I wanted to try out Sonic first since it’s a classic, but this game really caught my attention when I saw it on a retro store shelf. After playing it, it became an instant classic for me and it’s so overhated by the fandom it’s scary. They love ragging on it and comparing it to the first one because of nostalgia, but tbh playing this one first only gave me more respect for the first game!

Personally, I VASTLY prefer the ground combat in every way. Could definitely stand on its own as an entire game. And Goku’s move set is much more creative here. Plus, combos are more satisfying with the ability to jump. Though, jump being added on left trigger is a deal breaker, I had to remap it. But that also affects specials. I think that’s an issue that should be fixed, but it’s not the worst thing in the world.

This game is so underrated. I love the controls. I have the 1000G on XBOX, and I think I want the Platinum too. I always hoped we’d get a sequel…

I don't think this game is bad in my opinion it's just... overhated i mean i can understand the frustration about this game back then like 10 years ago (jesus Christ... it's been a long time) because they completely dropped the boost formula with this one and copied super Mario galaxy with this game and make sonoc more like mario i think these three are the reasons why sonic lost world was a...mixed bag back then butbin my opinion i don't Think the game is really bad..granted the story sucks.. But it really has a good gameplay (specially that parkour), good level designs and polished,not to mention sonic's gameplay animations in this game is really good in this one. While this game isn't perfect it's still good for.. what it is plus this game helped frontiers to have a good parkour aswell...so i rate this game in the very least 7 or 8 out of 10 because of the game play and level design.

Man I WISH SEGA Saturn had games that play like FP. Lotta run n guns, a couple dozen 2D platformers, but afaik this gameplay was more inspired by Mega Drive and 32X games. So in a way this is exactly the type of game I've been wanting B]

😂 after watching this review I think I can confirm we have the complete opposite taste when it comes to yakuza 5. I loved the story and the hunting mini game, I didn’t like the idol storyline or mini game.

The reference for the game play using Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is spot on! I havent beaten the game yet but this game was definitely a breath of fresh of air. It such a shame that Microsoft decided to do what they did. This company has released nothing but fire and could you imagine what more they couldve done within the next 3-5 years?!

I always hated that whenever one of your turtles fainted theyd retreated back into the sewer lair and fill up on pizza to refill theire healthbars like they should have made something like that an option on the stage you were on and they could have made it so that you could carry multiples of each item in your inventory so say you have a full stacked pizza box a energy boost drink speed boost energy drink they should have made it so you could have carried upto 99 or 100 of each inventory item

Been playing since it was originally a Sonic fan game. With that being said, Freedom Planet 2 is unfortunately an average platformer at best.

Devil may cry 4 Dante’s campaign is trully trash, all the enemies was made with Nero in mind them they added Dante last second, trully a pain to kill one chimera with dante

Yakuza 4 is an instance of "so bad it's good." Akyama starts us strong, Saejima chapters are alright, and the following two arcs are batshit insane. I played through it while baked and it had me losing my shit, I love to hate it.

I thought 3 was the black sheep of the series. 🤔 Regardless, I'm right there with you. I've started from 0 to 4....not gonna lie, i skipped the shit outta 3 and watched an in delth video on it to know the story. I may go back to it down the line eventually, but i found myself not really caring about the substories as i didnin the previous games. I think it's cause im just anxious to get through the games to catch up to the later titles or even possibly cause I'm not playing as kiryu, but I'm also gonna play isshin and both judgement games. I have far too much on my plate when it comes to this series. I was actually thinking of skipping 3,4 and 5 cause after starting with 0 first....its hard to play the remastered games with their dated looks and systems, but I'm glad I'm playing 4, so im anxious to play the rest. Just curious how its gonna feel once i get to 7 when the series becomes a turn based RPG. I'm excited tho.

My only complaint is that I wish Ryu was farther back on the screen, instead of right in the middle of it. Makes it hard to see/know what’s coming your way.
